Today was
the last day of the Hope Blue grass festival with two bands playing from
2:00-7:00. We had a late lunch at were
there around 2:30. Two bands playing
today. Both very good. I’ll miss this quaint little town and the
hopping little café/bar with live entertainment. The rv park filled up this weekend with rv’s
and tent campers and just as quickly emptied out leaving 4 of us rv’s tonight. Tomorrow we’ll head back toward Anchorage
stopping in Girdwood for a few days on the way.
My brother Wes flies in next Saturday to join us for a week and we want
to get back a few days early to get the oil changed in the truck, stock up on
supplies and attend the Eagle River Bear Paw Festival just north of
Anchorage.
